Montrose, CO—The section of Oak Grove Road between Highway 90 and 6300 Road will be closed to through traffic from Aug., 22 through Sept., 23 for road reconstruction work.
This section of road on the hill slope had multiple issues throughout the past several decades. Recent milling revealed that areas of the road had no gravel beneath the pavement. Due to this, the road will need to be closed to the public while the road subgrade is excavated and gravel is imported.
Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. The reconstruction is anticipated to take around five weeks depending on the weather.
