General program information

Montrose County Child Support Services (CSS) operates under State and Federal laws, policies, and guidelines. Montrose County CSS seeks to ensure that all children receive support from each parent. This is accomplished by locating each parent, establishing paternity and support obligations, verifying that children are covered by health insurance by parents, and enforcing child support orders.

Montrose CSS is proud to be a 2Gen pioneer in Colorado. Staff offer parents information and referrals to family support and strengthening resources throughout the existence of a child support case. Parents who struggle to meet their payment obligations are offered additional resources for employment readiness and job search.
