Colorado Child Care Assistance

Colorado Childcare Assistance Program (CCAP) provides reduced cost child care to needy families that are working, participating in job training, going to school, transitioning off public assistance, or to those needing child care to avoid receiving public assistance. Licensed daycare centers, licensed home daycare providers, and certain exempt (non-licensed) providers are reimbursed a portion of their fee for children enrolled through CCCAP. 

You may be eligible to participate in CCCAP if you:

  • Reside in Colorado
  • Have at least one child who is under 13 years old (or 19 years old if the child has special needs or a disability and requires child care)
  • Have a family income of less than the county defined maximum Recipients with income are responsible to pay a portion of the cost of care.

How Do I Apply?

To apply for child care assistance parents must complete an application and provide information about their income and work, job search, or school program.

  • Parents must schedule and attend an appointment with child care program staff before their application can be processed.
  • Child care program staff will request applicants to provide verification of employment and wages, schedule that child care is needed, and members of the household.
