Welcome to the website of the Office of Treasurer and Public Trustee. This office is responsible for the collecting of property taxes and distributing the tax money to the entities each month. We are the bank for the county, all county money flows through this office. The foreclosures and releases of deeds of trust are the responsibility of the Public Trustee.

Senior Property Tax Exemption
IMPORTANT NOTICE: SUSPENSION OF FUNDING FOR SENIOR PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION In accordance with the passage of Senate Bill 09-276, the senior property tax exemption has been suspended for tax year 2009 (payable 2010). However, the legislature did not suspend the disabled veteran exemption. In spite of this one-year suspension, all taxpayers who may qualify are still encouraged to apply.
