The Child Support Services(CSS) unit seeks to ensure that all children receive financial and medical support from each parent. This is accomplished by locating each parent, establishing paternity, and support obligations and enforcing these obligations. Public Assistance recipients are required to cooperate with county Child Support Enforcement Offices. Child Support Enforcement involves ensuring that child support payments are timely made, paternity is established, child support orders are enforced, children are enrolled on insurance policies, foster care expenditures are recovered, public assistance expenditures are recovered, and non-custodial parents are located. The Child Support Services will put children first by helping both parents assume responsibility for the economic and social well-being, health and stability of their children.

The role of the coach is to provide support and resources to non-custodial parents; assesses individual and family needs and goals; develop and complete an employment and family plan; and provide resources for promoting responsible parenting. The coach will also monitor progress and make regular assessments in order to make appropriate modifications to Plans.
