Recording the first page of each document, legal size or less, unless specified below. $11
Recording each additional page of a document following the first page, legal size or less. $5
Recording first page of town plats, subdivision plats, all other plats and documents larger than 8.5 x 4 inches. $11
Recording each additional page of a town plat, subdivision plat, and all other plats, and documents larger than 8.5 x 14 inches. $10
Deposit of survey plat. $20
Recording the first page of a mining claim document. $6
Recording each additional page of a mining claim document. $5
Recording fee per claim. $0.25
Documentary fee, if consideration is more than $500 on a deed which transfers property and is not exempt, per each thousand dollars of consideration given. $.10
Application and recording fee for Marriage/Civil Union license. $30

Release of Deed of Trust must be sent to the Montrose County Treasurer's Office before recording.

When recording yearly maintenance fees with the Montrose County Clerk & Recorders office the charges are:
  • $6.00 for first page
  • $5.00 each additional page
  • Add .25 cents per claim.

UCC's
UCC's recorded into the real estate records- fees are:
  • One or two pages: $11
  • Three or more pages: $16
